Wills

A last will and testament is a document that determines what happens to your property if you die. It lays out whom your belongings should go to, how and who's in charge of making that happen. Making a will also gives you the opportunity to name an executor (the person responsible for distributing your assets).

A last will and testament is a document you write when you're alive, and the instructions in it are carried out after your death. Legal matters such as these are never easy to deal with, and certainly not when it involves the most important people in your life. This is why it's important to employ the help of a professional like Jayme Amberson Attorney at Law.

Juvenile Court

Juvenile court encompasses several different types of cases. Cases involving abuse, neglect, or abandonment of children are heard in dependency court. The Juvenile Court's purpose is to intervene in situations where a minor child has suffered harm or is at risk of suffering harm at the hands of their parent or legal guardian.

A case can be initiated by the state through the Department of Human Resources, or a private case can be filed by a relative or interested party.

If your family is involved with the Department of Human Resources or you would like to discuss filing for custody of a child you believe is abused or neglected please contact Jayme Amberson Attorney at Law.  It is critical to consult with an attorney at the earliest stages of these types of cases.  Delay could be detrimental to your case.
